N.Z. circus for Fiji, Noumea

PA Hamilton Hamilton’s Whirling Brother’s circus will play in Noumea and Fiji. The ringmaster, Jimmy Jeff, said last year’s tour of Fiji was a huge success. “We had packed audiences every night,” he said. Noumea, which has not had a circus before, was causing circus staff a few problems. New Zealand quarantine laws meant that horses and ponies taken on tour could not be brought back into the country, and so they will be left behind. The circus will spend a month in Noumea and six weeks in Fiji before returning to New Zealand.
