Rain cause accidents
Slippery roads contributed to a spate of traffic accidents in Christchurch yesterday afternoon. Five accidents were reported between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Until 9 p.m, nine accidents had been reported in which two people had suffered moderate injuries. Senior-Sergeant lan Freeman of the Ministry of Transport said that drivers were following too closely. ___________
