Offer for UEB firm

The ’ directors of New Zealand Equities, Ltd, have declared the company’s take-over bid for UEB Industries, Ltd, unconditional.

New Zealand Equities now holds or controls 37.5 per cent of the total issued ordinary capital of UEB.

In addition, New Zealand Equities also bolds or controls 55.1 per cent of the 12 per cent specified preference share capital, 58.6 per cent of the 15 per cent specified preference capital, and 75 per cent of the 6.5 per cent cumulative preference capital.

Zino Securities, Ltd, a company associated with New Zealand Equities has for some time held 18 per cent of the issued ordinary capital of UEB.

As a result of declaring the offer unconditional, New Zealand Equities intends to effect settlement with those share-, holders who have accepted the offer.
