No rebel cricket tours, says S.A.
NZPA . Johaaoesburg South African officials have promised that no rebel cricket tours are planned for next season, following visits by English. Sri Lankan, West Indian and Australian unofficial sides in the last five years. Joe Pamensky, president of the South African Cricket Union, said the union would concentrate on domestic cricket next season "and possibly the following.” The secrecy surrounding the organisation of rebel tours makes denials almost mandatory, but this time Pamensky*s comments have the ring of truth. But he also made it clear more rebel tours would take place in the future. “The SA.C.U. have many ideas in terms of getting more tours to this country,” he said. Speculation among senior
