$2M maiden for Baycorp
PA Wellington Baycorp Holdings, Ltd, a listed debt collecting firm, has reported a maiden profit of $2,234,000 before extraordinaries for the nine months to December 31. However, extraordinary losses of $84,000 cut the final profit back to $2,150,000. An interim dividend of 4c a share would be paid on April 13, the company said. ' Gross revenue was $8,276,000, yielding a pre-
tax profit of $3,534,000, Baycorp told the Stock Exchange. Tax of $1,300,000 was deducted, leaving the $2,234,000 profit. In its prospectus the company had forecast a profit of $1,915,000 for the year to June 30, 1987. The directors added that they were sure the company would earn a bigger profit in the next six months to June 30 than that earned in the first period.
