Bitter lesson
A teen-age boy — and the prison system — take a battering in this evening’s movie on Two, “In the Custody of Strangers” Martin Sheen (“Apocalypse Now,” “Kennedy”) and his real-life son, Emilio Estevez, play parent and child in this 1982 drama about a boy who is caught up in the bureaucracy of a prison system designed for adult criminals. Estevez plays Danny Caldwell whose father, Frank (Sheen, who was bom Ramon Estevez), has lost his job as a foreman after the local steel mill shuts down.
