Second lottery likely
PA Auckland Demand for tickets in the $3 Golden Kiwi lottery has been so strong that a second lottery may be launched today instead of Thursday as planned, said the lottery organiser, Mr Warwick Kiddle.
“Throughout New Zealand agents have reported a lot of public interest and ijuite high sales,” he said.
By tomorrow he ex-
pected most areas to have sold tickets in the first lottery. Some areas, including Hawke’s Bay, had asked for tickets in the second lottery and should receive them today. “All in all, I am very pleased; it’s a good one,” Mr Kiddle said. “We have increased the price 50 per cent (from $2) but doubled the first prize to $200,000.”
