Norman in top form
NZPA-Reuter Antwerp Ross Norman, the world champion and top seed, hit peak form when it mattered most and beat a fellow New Zealander and second seed, Stuart Davenport, 9-8, 9-0, 9-3, in the final of the $38,000 Belgian squash grand prix yesterday. Norman’s victory consolidated his claim for a
special diamond-studded trophy, worth $50,000, to be awarded to a player who' wins the tournament three times in five years. “I have been playing rubbish all week .but in the final it was completely different. I felt good today,” Norman said. “I’ll be back next year to try to win the trophy.”
