Mr David Rankin, an auctioneer for H. G. Livingstone, Ltd, with some of the items included in the Clarendon Hotel clearing sale to be held on the hotel premises today. The building will be demolished to make way for a multi-storey office block. The facade, however, will be retained. Everything movable will be auctioned before the demolition crews move in. Items in the catalogue, which took three weeks to prepare, range from bed linen used by Royal visitors to photographs of show business people, and kitchen equipment. Press, 21 January 1987, Page 30
