Press curbs reimposed
NZPA-Reuter Manila President Corazon Aquino’s Government, which restored press freedom to the Philippines, yesterday ordered a proMarcos newspaper shut: and muzzled State-owned television. As part of a new, policy, the State-owned Channel 4 national television station
was ordered not to air an interview programme featuring an Aquino archfoe, Juan Ponce Enrile. A Government agency, amid charges of censorship, said it: was shutting the "Daily Express,”; the Philippines ' newspaper most loyal to the former President, Mr Ferdinand Marcos.
