Natural art
Leaves can be used to make pictures, like this one of a fish. By using your imagination your garden could become a treasure trove for natural art. Collect different types of leaves, seeds, and flowers from trees, bushes, and plants. Flowers should be put on tissue paper and pressed between the pages of a heavy book until they are flat. Leaves are best put into
boiling water and steeped for 24 hours, before being dried and pressed. Make a picture by 'sticking the flowers and leaves on to a piece of board or heavy card with glue. Perhaps you could frame your favourite picture, or make gift cards of.pressed flowers to go on presents. The fish picture was made with magnolia leaves.

I am a horse, .>■ My name is Thatch. Because 1 can open any latch, I love to gallop and frolic round, But when I hear footsteps I don’t make a sound. I love to listen to what they say, Then all of a sudden they run off to play. Then I feel lonely and wonder what to do, Then I have an idea — I’ll call my friend Sue. Then we’ll play and gallop away, And have fun for the rest of the day.
