Renouf to respond
PA Wellington Renouf Corp International will respond to allegations that it has violated United States federal securities laws once it receives documents detailing the allegations, a Renouf spokesman said yesterday. Benequity Holdings, a Los Angeles-based real estate company in which Renouf >• Corp , holds the equivalent of 24 per cent, has filed suit in the USA District Court for the central District of California
against Renouf Corp International, its affiliates, its directors and officers. It makes allegations of - violations of federal 'securities laws in connection with the purchase of Benequity units and the solicitation of proxies. Renouf Corp International has publicly announced that it intended to seek control of Benequity. It currently holds a 9.3 per cent stake in Benequity partnership units and had options to buy an additional 14.6 per cent
