Aegean Princess, one of the top fancies for the Kumara Nuggets, was paired with Argite for

800 m, but beat her stablemate comfortably by two lengths in 50.85, the last 600 m strongly in 36.85.

Dreamville wound up his preparation for the Kumara Nuggets with a steady 1:35.4 for 1400 m, and 38.8 s for the final 600 m.

Another Look, a form runner for the Kumara Stayers’ Plate, ran her 1200 m in 1:21.6, the final 600 m in 38s. Her stablemate Secured Money sprinted 800 m in 525, quickening for the last 600 m in 37.45.
