Yacht claimed by two
PA Auckland Aucklander, Mike Watkins thought he had seen the last of his $25,000 boat when it went missing from a repair yard. But while on holiday in Northland at Christmas, he discovered a boat that looked just like his.
It was moored in Matauri Bay where Mr Watkins had decided to camp.
Now the craft is in the hands of Kaeo’s Constable Paddy Whiu, who is investigating its ownership. The police began searching for a boat a month ago when it went missing from a repair yard where it had been sent for alterations.
