Bigger busts in Britain
By

Busts are back in Britain, with the average woman there how measuring a shapely 95cm.
Ten years ago, the average bust measurement was 86cm (34in). A survey printed by “Woman’s Weekly” magazine of 6000 readers showed a trend towards larger, more cuddly women.
Miss or Mrs Average now boasted a 95-76-102 cm (37i/ 2 -30-40in) figure and is 1.62 m (sft4in) tall. But British women are becoming disillusioned with main street shops and department stores, which fail to cater for the larger customer, the survey finds.
Three out of four women make their own clothes and many buy from mail order houses, which do stock the larger sizes.
The anthropologist, Dr Desmond Morris, author of "The Naked Ape,” says sensible dieting and eating better-quality foods are responsible for the increase.
