‘Strike a balance’
The chairman of the Civic Trust, Mr John Brandts-Giesen, said yesterday that the trust was trying to “strike a balance” between large groups requiring a lot of space and many smaller groups in need of premises.
“Mr .Doig’s proposal
would cater for groups in the sphere of performing arts but we are trying to satisfy many smaller groups as well,” he said.
“Out steering committee will consider his proposal very attentively as it investigates the potential uses for the site.”
