Fine track gallops, by West Coast horses engaged at the Reefton Jockey Club’s meeting tomorrow has confirmed the remarkable recovery the Reefton track has made from the pounding it took in heavy rain at the Reefton Trotting Club’s meeting on December 29.

Completing their preparations yesterday morning, Old Scroll and Paiastone were timed to run their final 800 m of an 1100 m gallop in 50s and 49.5 s respectively. The maiden gallopers Globe Hill and Koputaroa werft timed at 51.2 s over the feme distance.
