Scout jamborees are international
Stacy Pope is proof that scout jamborees have an international following. Miss Pope has travelled from the United States to be at the jamboree and get a good look at scouting life. Because at the age of 21 she is not eligible to attend as a scout the United States contingent
of nine has made her an honorary member. Her father, Mr Truman Pope, is the contingent’s leader. “It is good to see what is going on,” she said. During her stay in New Zealand Miss Pope will work at Orana Park for two weeks and do some sight-seeing.
