1400 scouts treated
More than 1400 scouts and leaders received medical treatment at the scout jamboree during its first four days. However, most were treated for minor cuts, sprains, upset stomachs and sore throats. Several hundred were patients re-
turning for a second visit.
The assistant director of general services (medical), Mr Doug Ensor, said the number requiring treatment was not surprising given the activities on site and the boisterous way the scouts were participating in them.
