Microlight pilot injured
A microlight : pilot whose aircraft crashed in North Canterbury on Saturday was reported in a fairly comfortable condition in Christchurch Hospital last evening. Stephen Cairns, of Rutherford Street, Nelson, suffered broken ribs and injuries to his back and legs in the accident. The microlight crashed
about 9 a.m. on Saturday on farmland by South Eyre Road, north-west of Kaiapoi. The accident happened soon after takeoff. An air accident , inspector based in Christchurch, Mr David Graham, will investigate. Mr Graham could not be reached for comment last evening , • •
