Power
A top cast, including Richard Gere, Gene Hackman and Julie Christie, appear in the latest look at American political corruption, “Power,” which will start at the Academy tomorrow. Gere plays a political kingmaker to whom candidates are like another product — they have to be attractively packaged, Hackman plays Gere’s mentor and former partner, to whom it still matters who gets into office.
