Masters opens Metro
The latest addition to Christchurch’s Masters Theatres is The Metro, which will open on Boxing Day with “Blue City,” starring Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy. Centrally located at 105 Worcester Street, at the back of “The Press” building, The Metro is a small, intimate cinema with a seating capacity of 180. The cinema will cater to mainstream audiences, with four sessions daily, including family matinees, and will also be available for conferences, party bookings and school screenings. Special features of The Metro include a floating screen with a royal-blue cyclorama background (new to Christchurch), the latest Bauer big-reel projection system and Dolby stereo, and a mezzanine floor for coffee and conversation.
