Leaflet on new petrol
PA Wellington A leaflet to guide motorists through the change to unleaded petrol has been issued by the Ministry of Energy. Lead-free petrol will begin to replace the present petrol which releases harmful lead into the air, from January 1.
The leaflet lists cars which can use unleaded petrol and urges motorists to read it carefully so they use the correct fuel. It also answers other questions about the new fuel.
