Barracks recently refurbished
NZPA staff correspondent Hong Kong New Zealand servicemen stationed at the Dieppe Barracks in Singapore will serve the remainder of their time in relative comfort. The barracks, which houses the New Zealand battalion, has recently been refurbished at a cost of $2 million. The Government contributed about $700,000 of the cost. The work was required after the Singapore Air Force bought noisy new medium-lift Puma helicopters which fly from an airfield near the New Zealand barracks.
