Injured woman dies
An elderly Hokitika woman injured when she was knocked down by a teenage cyclist on a footpath in Weld Street, Hokitika on Wednesday, died in the Grey Hospital on Saturday. She was Mrs Muriel Jean Tennent, of Hampden Street, Hokitika, who
was admitted with a fractured hip. The Hokitika police are seeking the cyclist, believed to be aged 14 to 16 years. Mrs Tennent and her late husband, Mr Robert Tennent, conducted a jewellery shop in Hokitika for many years.
