Olympic relay victories
Olympic teams won both the handicap and fastest time sections of the annual Pebble Relay round the Port Hills recently. The winning Olympic team started from eight minutes behind the front marker, and won in a net time of 2hr 26min 235, more than two minutes ahead of a team of three from Anglican.
Each of the three runners ran two laps, but not consecutively. Results.—
Handicap: Olympic, gross 2:44.23, off Bmin, 1; Anglican, 2:44:59, off 9,2; Avon, 2:47:05, off go, 3. Fastest teams: Olympic A, 1:52:36, 1; United 1, 2:0:51, 2; Olympic 2, 2:02:50, 3; St Martins 2:07:10, 4; Olympic 3, 2:10:06, 5.
