Man arrested in baby-food poison case
NZPA-AAP Brisbane An unemployed former Ipswich man appeared in Brisbane’s Magistrates Court yesterday afternoon on two charges relating to the recent baby-food poisoning scare in south-east Queensland. Edward John Dowling, aged 41, of Spring Hill, Brisbane, was not required to enter a plea at the hearing. Dowling has been charged with two counts of extortion on May 19 and December 12. He was remanded in custody to appear again this morning.
