Two new churches for Waimairi

Two new churches will be built in Waimairi District next year.

One is St Mark’s Presbyterian church in Withells Road, the other the Reformed Church of Bishopdale, in Highsted Road.

St Mark’s Church would be a complex of buildings, with a large worship area, foyer, and office space, and a lounge and kitchen.

The Reformed Church building would be singlestory and cover about 630 sq m.

The council said both groups would have to landscape the site boundaries so that the churches would be screened from neighbours. Car-parking, lighting, and noise restrictions would also apply, to protect neighbours.
