IEP Sec. lifts stake
NZPA London Ron Brierley’s lEP Securities has lifted its stake in Britain's Equity Law Life Assurance to 17.6 per cent — making it the company’s third largest U.K. investment. lEP has been buying the life assurance company shares for almost seven months, but has increased its total by almost 7 per cent over the last two weeks. The “Financial Times” said the 17.6 per cent stake had cost lEP around £5O million (SNZI39 million).
lEP has investments in about 45 other British companies.
