Alienation ‘concern’
Mr lan Talbot, the publisher of the Australian ski magazine, “Powderhound," said yesterday that he was concerned about the alienation of Methven from the Mount Hutt skifield, not about
attacking” the Mount Hutt shareholders who had called today’s extraordinary meeting.
In yesterday’s business pages, it was reported that the publisher attacked these shareholders for calling the meeting. Also, he said, that he did not imply that these shareholders came “mainly from Methven.” Mr Talbot sid that it was unfortunate that the chairman of the Mount Hutt Ski and Alpine Tourist Company, Ltd, Mr Peter Yeoman, came in for criticism because he was working hard for the skifield, Methven, and New Zealand.
