Housewife remanded

The young Rakaia housewife arrested last week on arms and drugs charges has been remanded on bail without plea to appear in the

District Court at Ashburton on January 26. Kim Natalie Thomas, aged 25, faced seven charges, including a charge of the unlawful

possession of two pistols, a shotgun and ammunition. The police said that additional charges, concerning stolen property, would be laid.

Her counsel, Mr Chris Robertson, said she would meet a Christchurch solicitor, and had withdrawn an application for legal aid.
