Glider pilot named
A Rangiora man whose glider crashed on Sunday died in Christchurch Hospital yesterday. He was Kenneth McAlpine, aged 64, of 11A McAlpine Place, Rangiora.
The crash occurred on Sunday afternoon, 500 m from the Rangiora aerodrome. Mr McAlpine had suffered head injuries and a broken ankle in the accident.
