Adult love story
Sissy Spacek and Kevin Kline star in the adult love story, “Violets are Blue,” which will start at the Regent tomorrow. In the summer after graduation, two highschool sweethearts (Spacek and Kline) had beautiful dreams about what the future held — he would become an important journalist and they would be together, As often happens with dreams, things did not quite turn out that way. He is married, but not to Spacek, who is not an
internationally famous photojournalist, whose globe-trotting adventures tied her down only to her Paris flat and a few plants. Spacek decides to return home to the oceanside resort where she was born and raised for a much-needed holiday with her family after a particularly taxing assignment in war-torn Belfast. The two former lovers quickly discover that, despite the long separation, their feelings for each other are as strong as ever.
