Missed Again appeals at Invercargill

Special correspondent , Invercargill Missed Again, one of Southland’s most exciting prospects, should break through for his first five-year-old success in the Ossie Crooks Memorial, first leg of the T.A.B. at the Invercargill Trotting Club’s meeting today. The Pass With Care gelding won five of his eight starts last season and was placed in two others. to Caragh’s Bret at Invercargill a month ago. Missed Again’s showing was one of the highlights of the day’s racing and one which pointed to an early success. Trish Mist, a talented Transport Chip’ mare, has had three runs in a fresh campaign for two placings. She is now at the stage of readiness to produce reliable evidence of her undoubted worth. Microscopic has started six times to date and has won his last five on end.

Time is running out for the talented Canterbury three-year-old, Floris Fella, to qualify for the Fay-Richwhite Sires Stakes Final, but he should gain the win or second placing necessary in the fifth heat today. The mobile mile, for three-year-olds, is the second leg of the T.A.B. double.

All things even, the Smooth Fella colt should cap off some creditable placed form with a deserved success.
