NZPA correspondent Rarotonga The battle for the propping berths in next year’s Kiwi team has already begun with Ricki Cowan, Adrian Shelford and Frank Tiniteila staking claims during the Steinlager Pacific Cup league tournament at Rarotonga. Cowan and Shelford confronted each other in the Cook Islands v. New Zealand Maoris match and honours were even, although the Maoris showed greater experience to win, 32-10. © Australia’s rugby league tourists maintained their 100 per cent record but the first division leader, St Helens, turned in a battling display before going down, 32-8, at St Helens. © Results of English matches: Division one.— Bradford 41, Featherstone 2; Castleford 19, Leigh 8; Hull 10, Leeds 32; Oldham 32, Barrow 20; Salford 10, Warrington 25; Widnes 26, Hull Kingston Rovers 8- Wigan 62, Wakefield 10.
