Sir,—lf John Worthington (October 30), genuinely believes the video “Hidden Crimes” exaggerates the facts concerning experimentation on animals, I suggest that he ask the Minister of Broadcasting why the “Animals” film, shown on Australian television and in other countries, has been withheld from screening on Television New Zealand. The answer I got was that the film — an authentic documentary on current animal abuses — is “too harrowing” for public screening—Yours, etc., V. F. SANDS. November 1, 1986.
