New Tasman ship visits
A sbip which is a newcomer to the Tasman trade made her maiden call at Lyttelton recently. She is the 1000-slot container ship Union Endeavour, which has been chartered by the Union Shipping Group. The 13,482-tori Union Endeavour is likely to become a familiar sight at Lyttelton as she is expected to call at the port every three weeks. The other ports on her route are Auckland, Wellington, Nelson, Sydney and Melbourne. The Union Endeavour, which was built in 1982, was formerly called the Dagmar Reeckmann. ■ ARRIVALS Saturday Malayan Reefer (5.57 a.m.), 7598, Auckland (Scales).
