A sbip which is a newcomer to the Tasman trade made her maiden call at Lyttelton recently. She is the 1000-slot container ship Union Endeavour, which has been chartered by the Union Shipping Group. The 13,482-tori Union Endeavour is likely to become a familiar sight at Lyttelton as she is expected to call at the port every three weeks. The other ports on her route are Auckland, Wellington, Nelson, Sydney and Melbourne.
