H.M.N.Z.S. Monowai visit

The Royal New Zealand Navy survey vessel, the H.M.N.Z.S. Monowai, will arrive in port next week for a seven-week spell. All of the ship’s crew, which totals more than 100, will be on board when she arrives on October 27. During her seven-week stay she will undergo refitting in both dry dock and on the dockside. It is expected she will be in dry dock for about two weeks. The public will not be allowed on board. She will leave on December 15 under her captain, Commander Ray Gillbanks.
