Cricket test drawn
NZPA-AAP Bombay Australia and India drew the third cricket test at the
Wankhede Stadium, in Bombay, yesterday. At stumps on the fifth and final day, Australia was two for 216 after trailing by 172 runs of the first innings. The Australian captain,
Allan Border, was unbeaten on 66 and Dean Jones 73 not out.
Scores: Australia 345 and 216/2; India 517/5 dec. The series was drawn after the first test at Madras ended in a tie and the second at Delhi a draw. Earlier report, page 25.
