Crusader’s disastrous debut

In the first race of the cup series just over a week ago, Britain’s White Crusader suffered the ignominy of her mainsail dropping to the deck about 10 minutes into the race, but it has since been revealed there were several other minor disasters on the boat as well.

After the main was rehqisted, the rudder jammed, the spinnaker pole came off twice, two genoas broke, and the instruments went out six times. To top it off the tow rope broke twice on the way home. White Crusader is now becoming known by her initials, W.C.
