Reflective curves
Soft, reflective curves in mirror and chrome and an absence of angles combine with the special lighting effects to give the Palladium nightclub unusual visual interest.
Perspectives are often deceptive and interesting angles are not hard to find.
The predominance of curves is expressive of the modem, art deco style of the Palladium, which combines high-tech glitz with the currently popular style of the 19305. The manager of the Palladium, Mr Jonathan Paisley, says the nightclub will cater for a clientele of all ages — “people who
want to go to Las Vegas for a night.”
The Palladium is not just a nightclub, according to Mr Paisley. It will also be available for use as conference facilities and can be hired for private functions.
The stage has two mobile cat-walks, which will be used for special shows, or for fashion parades, such as Streetwalk 87, to be held at the Palladium on Sunday evening.
Mr Paisley also hopes to occasionally use the Palladium for functions such as discos for young people (at which alcohol will not be available).
