2700 Chch votes returned
At least 2700 Christchurch City residents have already made up their minds as to whom they want for councillors and the city’s Mayor. Their local body votes are now with the City’s returning officer, Mr Bill Davies, having arrived by mail yesterday. “It is not a bad return for the first day,” Mr Davies said. All the nearly 110,000 voting forms left the Civic Offices in Tuam Street at midnight on Thursday of last week.
