Epicentre has two functions
A new environment and peace information centre — The Epicentre — has been established at the Christchurch Arts Centre.
The Epicentre has taken over most of the Environment Centre’s premises, assets and functions, as well as providing a peace information service, library, sales outlet, and referral service.
The name of the Environment Centre (Canterbury) will be changed, and the centre’s role reassessed, while the outcome of Government environmental administration changes are awaited.
