Airport terminal advertising
The airport should receive at least $260,000 from advertising in the domestic terminal over the next five years. The advertising was put up for tender by the Airport Authority. It includes signs, posters, panels, wall displays, and illuminated transparencies. Details were sent to eight groups, of which only two submitted tenders.
Easily the highest was that of Transport Publicity, Ltd, Auckland, which offered a minimum guarantee of $260,000. Coach Advertising, Ltd, Christchurch, put in a minimum of $76,000. The Auckland company runs 125 advertising concessions throughout New Zealand.
