National chooses accountant
PA Masterton The National Party has selected an accountant with farming experience as its Wairarapa candidate for next year’s election. He is Mr Wyatt Creech, aged 39, of Martin; borough, who also has a degree in political science and international politics. Mr Creech was chosen from five candidates at a meeting after the vote went to four ballots. Mr Creech said he believed his youth and academic qualifications had won him the selection. The seat is held by the Government member of Parliament, Mr Reg Boorman, who won Wairarapa from the former Minister of Police, Mr Ben Couch, in 1984.
