Ratepayers apologise

The ratepayers’ group that printed a political pamphlet which attacked a Christchurch City councillor has apologised for embarrassing the council’s community services divisioh.

Mr Stephen Rice, the group’s co-ordinator, yesterday apologised for the embarrassment caused by his group’s having a pamphlet calling for a vote of no-confidence in Cr Mor-

gan Fahey (South Ward) photocopied at the council’s community services division. The division’s head, Mr Alistair Graham, did not realise the nature of the document until the 250 printed copies had been collected for distribution. The pamphlet also called for a vote of noconfidence in the present City Council.
