Wanganui
PA Wanganui Three-year-olds, Sir Zeus and Auto Air, are notable acceptors in the $25,000 Taranaki-Wanganui Breeders’ Guineas on the first day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting at Wanganui on Saturday. The recent winner, Royal Banquet, from Te Rapa, is also in the field while Little Regal and the filly, Silver Devil, are other northerners in the line-up.’ Kiwi heads good field in the W. K. Backhouse Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double, and the top sprintermiler, Axeman, is top weight in the second leg, the Melva Walker Handicap.
The T.A.B. treble will be on races eight, nine and ten and the T.A.B. trifecta is on race five. Race 1.
