M.S. appeal

Sir,—The members of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canterbury are grateful to the people of Christchurch and district who gave so generously in our house-to-house collection on Saturday, August 16. In spite of the difficult economic circumstances, the response to our appeal has been most satisfactory, but we were not able, for a number of reasons, to collect all

of the envelopes which had been distributed and we hope that those people from whom we did not collect will remember either to post the envelope or to leave it at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand. Our thanks are also due to the many people who were involved in the organisation of the appeal and those who helped by sponsoring some of the expenses. — Yours, etc., BARRY HAWKINS, Director. August 22, 1986.
