Polytechnic pleased
A hui held by the Christchurch Polytechnic last evening to encourage Maori students to take a wider range of courses attracted about 80 people.
The associate director of the Polytechnic, Mr Dick Hockley, said he was pleased with the response. The hui was held at. Aranui High School and began with a powhiri, a traditional Maori welcome.
Maori staff from the Polytechnic discussed courses available.
Mr Hockley said simlliar huis would be held in other parts of Christchurch.
