PA Dunedin The construction of the power house at the Clyde dam is almost 75 per cent finished, a Ministry of Works and Development spokesman, Mr Bruce Thompson, said. New Zealand is due to turn on Clyde power in
less than "iy 2 years when New Zealand’s largest concrete dam will be ready for commissioning. A combined total of 1.2 million cubic metres of concrete will go into the dam and powerhouse and so far 650,000 cubic metres are in place.
